Indian Head and Fish Hawk Cliffs

This hike is on easments on private property owned by the Adirondack Mountain Reserve. Please respect the AMR rules.

Ascent: 730 ft

Distance: 4.9 miles

Location: Adirondack Mountain Reserve property, St Huberts.

This trail is off the Lake Road on the Ausable Club in St. Hubert's. Parking is available across the road from the Roaring Brook Falls trail to Giant Mt. off route 73. The 730 ft ascent leads to a photographer's dream, with views of the Lower Ausable lakes and the surrounding mountains.

From Indian Head it is a short 0.2 mile hike to Fish Hawk Cliffs and view Indian Head. (photo) This rock formation has to be experienced to be appreciated. In summary a short ascent leads to a great outcome.
