Scott and Wallface Ponds - A Hike Parts of Which You Might not Like

Elevation: 3150 ft
Ascent: 970 ft
Distance: 6.9 miles
Location: Trail starts at the Adirondack Mountain Club Heart Lake Preserve.
The trail starts around Heart Lake and proceeds with gentle ups and downs to Scott clearing lean-to at 3.8 miles which includes a well kept lean-to.
Beyond this point the trail crosses a small stream and arrives at a junction of the trail (right) to Scott and Wallface ponds. The trail left continuers to Indian Pass. After crossing on an old broken down dam the trail ascends to the pass between Lost Pond Mountain and an unnamed knoll. After descending from the pass, the trail includes muddy and wet sections most of the way to Wallface pond.
