Keene ValleyLocation: The High Peaks of the Adirondacks, based in the hamlet of Keene Valley. Keene Valley Chapter, in the heart of the High Peaks, has traditionally had a dedicated and supportive non-resident constituency who rely on the much smaller resident group to supply leadership and willing hands. More participants welcome!

Home Chapter/Affiliate: When joining ADK you can designate the Keene Valley Chapter as your home chapter at no extra charge. You get the chapter's newsletter and can vote at meetings. Members of other chapters can "affiliate" with the Keene Valley Chapter -- which puts them on the newsletter mailing list -- for an additional $5 sent to headquarters along with their membership dues.

The library has a computing center, an Archives room of local history, and an outstanding Alpine Room collection. Summer features include five days a week of operation, a Monday evening lecture series, children's programs, and a book sale.

The big building on Main Street that still shows as a hospital on some maps - it's now a NYS-Dept of Health licensed long-term residential care home, with assisted living services for adults. Take a look on your own behalf or someone else's.
