National Trails Day 2011
When: Saturday, June 4, 2011, 8 AM to 4 PM
Where: Inlet, New York. Meet at designated trailheads located in Moose River Plains (MRPWF) Wild Forest / Pigeon Lake (PLWA) and Ha-da-ron-dah (HWA) Wilderness Areas
Trail Projects:
Pigeon Lake Trail (PLWA): Blowdown removal and sidecutting from Constable Pond to Pigeon Lake. Approximate hiking distance of 9.8 miles round trip. This project is full, please make another selection.
Queer Lake Trail (PLWA): Blowdown removal and sidecutting from Queer Lake to Constable Pond. Approximate hiking distance of 9.4 miles round trip.
Mays Pond Trail (PLWA): Blowdown removal and sidecutting. Approximate hiking distance of 6.2 miles round trip. This project is full, please make another selection.
Chain Ponds Trail (PLWA): Blowdown removal and sidecutting. Approximate hiking distance of 5.4 miles round trip. This project is full, please make another selection.
Old Dam Nature Trail (MRPWF): Sidecutting and blowdown removal from Limekiln Campground to the Third Lake Creek access. Approximate hiking distance of 7 miles round trip. This project is full, please make another selection.
East Pond Trail (HWA): Sidecutting and blowdown removal from the Big Otter Lake Trail junction to East Pond. Approximate hiking distance of 8 miles round trip.

Après-National Trails Day Event:
After the trail work is completed on Saturday, there will be a barbecue dinner for volunteers from 5-8 pm at the picnic pavilion located in the Limekiln Lake Campground. Live music, commemorative t-shirts, and raffles will also be available.
Free camping is available both Friday and Saturday nights at the Limekiln Lake State Campground for all volunteers. (If you are not interested in camping, there is information about Inlet area lodging at this Web site.)
