Adirondack Mountain Club Welcomes Molly Marcy to Board of Directors
Lake Placid, NY — December 2025 — The Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Molly Marcy to its Board of Directors. Marcy joins the organization with more than a decade of high-level experience in New York State government, public policy, and political strategy.
Marcy currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Brown & Weinraub, where she brings deep expertise in legislative affairs, strategic advisement, and policy development. Prior to joining the firm, Marcy served as Director of Legislative Affairs for Governor Andrew Cuomo, advising the administration on legislative strategy and serving as a primary liaison between the Executive Chamber and the New York State Legislature. She concurrently held the role of Director of Cabinet Affairs, acting as the principal liaison to the Governor’s cabinet and advancing a wide range of executive policy initiatives.
Before her work in the Executive Chamber, Marcy served as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Democratic Leader in the New York State Senate, where she represented the Senator in all major State budget and policy negotiations. She has also played key roles in federal, state, and local political campaigns.
Marcy’s leadership and career accomplishments have been recognized broadly. She has been profiled by the Albany Times Union for her family’s long-standing contributions to New York politics and was named one of City & State’s 40 Under 40 Albany Rising Stars and Who’s Who in Government relations. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.
“We are thrilled to welcome Molly to the ADK Board,” said Cortney Worrall, Executive Director of the Adirondack Mountain Club. “Her deep experience navigating complex policy environments, combined with her commitment to public service, will be invaluable as ADK continues to advance its mission of responsible recreation, environmental education, and stewardship of New York’s wild lands and waters.”
Marcy’s appointment comes at a time of continued growth and vision for ADK, as the organization expands public programming, strengthens advocacy efforts, and continues to improve access to the outdoors for communities across New York State.
“I’m honored to join the ADK Board of Directors,” Marcy said. “ADK’s work to protect the Adirondacks and inspire a new generation of outdoor stewards is vital, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support such an important mission. As a lifelong resident and outdoor enthusiast of the Adirondacks, I am looking forward to the opportunity to protect and preserve it”.
