2026 ADK Fall Outing: Weekend Outings

2026 ADK Fall Outing: Weekend Outings

These outings are for paid registrants of the Fall Outing weekend. Do not sign up friends or family who are not already registered for the overall event. You can register for Fall Outing here.

  • Outings will be filled on a first-come sign-up basis.
  • No more than one outing sign-up per day per person, unless otherwise specified in the description.
  • You will have the ability to make changes – to cancel any outing registration and sign up for a different outing if space allows. However, the registration window will close on September 9.
  • Outings that don’t meet a minimum of 3 registrants will be canceled, and those participants will be offered a spot on an alternative outing.
  • Participation in individual outings is not required and there will be plenty of on-campus amenities for those interested, including swimming, a game room, a basketball gym, etc.
  • You are invited to correspond with your outing leaders. They will contact you with further details about the event prior to the trip.

For All Outings:

  • Registrants must wear proper footwear and clothing for the conditions.
  • Bring your own equipment, ten essentials, etc. Leaders may offer additional details and suggest gear.
  • Children must be accompanied by a parent on outings. Some outings are more suitable for young children than others. It is up to parents to ensure your child is equipped and capable of completing the activity.
  • No dogs or pets allowed.

For All Paddling Trips:

  • Bring your own canoe/kayak/SUP, paddle and personal flotation device (PFD). All participants are required to wear PFD on the water. Equipment is NOT provided.
  • If you need to rent equipment, we recommend St. Regis Canoe Outfitters in Saranac Lake.
  • We recommend bringing a drybag for personal items.
  • For trips that include portages, participants must be able to carry their own canoes and equipment. There are NO SUPPORT crews at the outings.

For All Biking Trips:

  • Bring your own bike and wear a helmet. All participants are required to wear a helmet. Equipment is NOT provided.
  • If you need to rent equipment, we recommend Silver Birch Cycles in Saranac Lake.
  • Bring your own bike repair kit with a spare inner tube, tire patch and essentials. There are NO SUPPORT crews at the outings.
  • The acceptability and use of e-bikes is determined by each leader. Some outings are not appropriate for e-bikes.
