Trail Work Projects

Work with ADK trail crew leaders and other volunteers on maintenance and reconstruction projects.

Upcoming Programs

During the summer months, we offer anywhere from one-day-long to five-day-long volunteer projects. These projects are led by two trained, professional crew leaders who bring a crew of volunteers out into the woods, teach them how to use tools safely and efficiently, and guide them through the process of building or maintaining Adirondack trails, step-by-step. Projects range from general maintenance (like removing downed trees and clearing drainages) to technical projects (such as building bridges or rock staircases).
