Deepen your connection to the Adirondacks through hands-on workshops and trainings designed for all experience levels. From backcountry skills and safety to trail stewardship and conservation, ADK’s programs help you build confidence, expand your knowledge, and explore nature responsibly.
This is an intensive two-day workshop that will teach students how to deal with medical emergencies when they are miles from help and dialing 911 is not an option. The curriculum is comprehensive, yet practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments.
Health insurance is required to participate in the program. You must be 18 years or older to participate in this program.

Most ADK skills workshops take place at the Education Yurt Village at our Heart Lake Program Center in Lake Placid, New York. Each program will have a specific location noted on its page of the website. Some courses are offered via Zoom.
