Join a NY-State Certified Forager for a Blue Oyster Log Inoculation Workshop! Learn the inoculation flow from start to finish—drilling fresh hardwood logs, packing them with Blue Oyster spawn, and sealing them with food-grade hot wax to protect against wild competitors.
Take Home Your Log: Every participant walks away with their own inoculated Blue Oyster hardwood log, ready to fruit at home!
Participants should come dressed in appropriate attire to recreate in a variety of different weather and trail conditions. This program is open to all ages, but children must be supervised. The Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) welcomes people of all backgrounds and is committed to fostering a safe space for everyone to learn.
