From guided hikes and educational workshops to volunteer opportunities and seasonal celebrations, ADK’s programs and events bring people closer to nature and deepen their connection with the Adirondacks.
The Fall Trails Day project is a day-long cooperative trail work opportunity for anyone ages 14 and up. No prior experience is necessary!
We will be working along the Brooktrout Lake section of the North Country National Scenic Trail. Work we will be doing includes sidecutting the trail corridor, removing blowdown, clearing drainages, and installing signage.
This program is great for anyone who loves the trails in the Adirondacks and wants to give back to them. The project will be led by ADK’s professional crew leaders who will instruct participants on the use of the tools and the process to maintain our backcountry trails. Tools and PPE are provided by ADK.
Come prepared to work hard, get your hands dirty, and have fun!

Moth Madness
Katydid Kayla led an educational evening moth program to celebrate National Moth Week at ADK’s Education Yurt Village.
Teen Trail Crew
ADK led a teen trail crew project on the trail the Avalanche Pass, which is currently closed to the public due to landslides.

Adirondack Mountain Club members spent five days exploring the Adirondack Rail Trail at Cycle Outing 2026.
