ADK, Catskill Center, and over twenty-five other groups and municipalities gathered for the Forest Preserve Summit at Five Rivers Education Center in Delmar.
These groups came together to share updates on their efforts, identify priorities, look towards the year ahead, and hear about initiatives and projects from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Amanda Lefton, as well staff from the Bureau of Forest Preserve and Conservation, the Division of Lands and Forests, the Office of Outdoor Recreation, and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Civil Rights.
A focus of the day’s conversations was the power of partnerships in these spaces. The Forest Preserve Summit provides an opportunity to come together as advocates, stewards, and land managers who live and work in and care for the Catskill and Adirondack Parks.
