Charles Evans Kilbourne, III is Managing Director and Secretary of the Corporation of the Financial Services Volunteer Corps. FSVC is a not-for-profit, private-public partnership that helps to build sound financial systems in transition and emerging market countries. Sound financial infrastructure is essential to support private entrepreneurship, promote job creation, mobilize domestic savings, attract foreign investment, and create conditions that promote lasting economic opportunity. He is a member of FSVC’s management group, and directly oversees FSVC’s programs in Albania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Sudan, and Tajikistan. He is an officer of the Corporation and the liaison to the Board of Directors.
He is a life member of the Adirondack Mountain Club, and an Adirondack Forty-Sixer. In addition to serving on ADK’s board, Charles is a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, a Trustee of the Wright Family Foundation, President of the Board of Directors of Better Community Neighborhoods, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Schenectady. He received a master’s degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
