Black River
Creating an ADK community in Jefferson and Lewis Counties, including the eastern Lake Ontario shoreline and the western edge of the Adirondacks. Activities are primarily held locally.
The Black River Chapter serves members primarily in Jefferson and Lewis Counties, encompassing the Eastern Lake Ontario shoreline, the northern portion of Tug Hill, the Black River Valley, and the western edge of the Adirondack Mountains.
We offer something for everyone, from active conservation efforts to a wide range of outdoor adventures and social gatherings. Chapter outings include hiking, paddling, cross-country skiing, and more. We also host seasonal picnics, dinners, and other community events. Hikes range from short, easy walks to challenging high peak climbs. Many events are local and accessible, with no long drive to the Adirondacks required.
