About The Property
Located on the shores of Heart Lake in Lake Placid, New York, the Adirondak Loj has space for 38 guests in a combination of private rooms, bunk rooms, and a coed loft.
The cozy living room, with its stone fireplace, is perfect for recounting the day’s adventures or just relaxing with a book from our Adirondack library.
Accommodations
Breakfast is included for Loj guests and served in our rustic dining room from 7–8 a.m. Other food at our dining facilities, including trail lunches and dinner, may be purchased at an additional cost.
Please sign up for a trail lunch during breakfast. Hot drinks are complimentary for Loj guests and are available in the Great Room.
Vegetarian or vegan meals and most food allergies can be accommodated with 24-hour advance notice to staff.
Soda, beer, and wine can be purchased at the front desk. You may not bring your own alcohol into public areas of the Loj.
Swimming in Heart Lake is available for Adirondak Loj guests when the beach is open. Please read the beach rules and sign in and out at the front desk. An adult must accompany children under 16 years old. A minimum of two adults 18 years of age or older must be present whenever this swimming facility is in use, with at least one adult on the beachfront.
Canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals are available at the front desk. An adult must accompany children under 16 years old.

Please be respectful of other guests’ right to privacy and solitude. Turn off or mute notifications and do not live chat or make phone calls in the Great Room or guest rooms. Please do not bring electronics into the dining room during mealtimes.
Check-in begins at 3 p.m. at the front desk. Checkout is by 10 a.m.
Reservations are held until 9:00 a.m. the day after the reserved date of arrival. If you do not arrive and have not contacted the front desk, you are responsible for the entire cost of your reservation and the reservation will be forfeited at that time.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. After 10:00 p.m., we request that your party use flashlights or headlamps when entering the coed bunkrooms or the family rooms. Please be aware that the Loj walls are thin and noises carry.
