Ladybug Lorelei has been with ADK since September 2024, where she leads backcountry skills workshops and outdoor education programs that help people explore the Adirondacks safely and responsibly. She enjoys teaching hikers of all experience levels, from first-time adventurers to seasoned backcountry enthusiasts, and is passionate about building the skills and confidence needed to enjoy the outdoors while protecting New York’s wild lands and waters.

Lorelei earned a bachelor’s degree in Development Sociology from Cornell University and a Master of Urban Planning from New York University. Before joining ADK, she was a lead instructor with the Philadelphia Outward Bound School and led a cross-country cycling expedition with the nonprofit organization Bike & Build. Her background in outdoor leadership and experiential education helps inspire others to develop the knowledge, confidence, and stewardship ethic needed for safe and responsible recreation.
