Sammy joined ADK in the spring of 2026 as the High Peaks Information Center Educator where they help folks learn how to safely and ethically explore the natural world. They bring a diverse background of nonprofit work, outdoor education, and trauma-informed practices that they hope to use to create an inclusive environment for all outdoor recreators.
They hold a Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy and Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science & English from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Outside of work Sammy can be found crafting with their beloved cat or wandering around the woods searching for critters, plants, and fungi to take pictures of and learn about.
