Heart Lake Cabins

Our three cabins—the Campground Cabin, Wiezel Trails Cabin, and Tyler Cabin—make an excellent base camp for hiking and exploring the Adirondacks with a bit more comfort than a campsite. Meals are available at the Adirondak Loj for an additional fee.
Each cabin has a fire ring, picnic table, electric heat hot water, and full bathrooms and showers. Parking is included with your reservation.
High Peaks Information Center

The High Peaks Information Center (HPIC) is a year-round visitor information center located next to the Van Hoevenberg trail and parking lot. An excellent resource for hikers, backpackers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers, our staff can help with trip planning, gear recommendations, regional weather information, and trail conditions.
ADK sells guidebooks, maps, and backcountry items at the HPIC, including headlamps and batteries, first-aid kits, insect repellent, and trail mix. We also rent bear cans, trail crampons, snowshoes, and more.
You can contact the HPIC by calling 518-523-3441 ext. 121 or emailing hpic@adk.org.
