Locations and Lodging
The Adirondack Mountain Club offers a variety of lodging experiences across the Adirondacks and High Peaks, with accommodations for every type of adventure. On the shores of Heart Lake in Lake Placid, New York, ADK’s iconic Adirondak Loj combines the comforts of home with an unforgettable wilderness setting. The Heart Lake Property also features a Wilderness Campground, cabins, lean-tos, canvas tents, and yurts.
In Keene Valley, ADK’s Johns Brook Property offers a true backcountry experience. Accessible only by a scenic 3.5-mile hike, the property includes Johns Brook Lodge, as well as cabins and lean-tos nestled in the heart of the High Peaks Wilderness.
Camp Peggy O’Brien
Camp Peggy O’Brien is a rustic backcountry cabin tucked into the Johns Brook Valley, offering a comfortable basecamp for High Peaks adventures. Hike in, unplug, and enjoy a classic Adirondack experience surrounded by wilderness. The cabin sleeps up to 12 guests and includes propane lighting and cooking amenities.
Campground Cabin
Stay close to adventure in one of ADK’s Campground Cabins at Heart Lake. These rustic cabins offer a comfortable basecamp for exploring Adirondack trails, lakes, and the surrounding wilderness.
Grace Camp
Experience a true Adirondack backcountry getaway at Grace Camp, a rustic cabin tucked away in the Johns Brook Valley. Located near Johns Brook Lodge, this peaceful retreat offers a comfortable basecamp for exploring High Peaks trails, relaxing after a day of adventure, and reconnecting with the wilderness.
Johns Brook Lodge
For more than a century, Johns Brook Lodge has provided hikers with shelter, meals, and a sense of community.
Lean-tos (Johns Brook Lodge)
ADK’s lean-tos in the Johns Brook Valley offer a private and tranquil Adirondack camping experience. During the summer (June through September) guests can borrow bear-resistant food canisters and obtain potable water from Johns Brook Lodge.
Tyler Cabin
Located at ADK's Heart Lake Property, Tyler Cabin consists of a main living room, two bedrooms, a pull-out sofa in the living room, and a bathroom complete with a shower.
